New 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Chicago Motor Show


New 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 eventually dubbed the model the highest-performing and most technically advanced in the history of the Camaro’s 45-year-long at the Chicago motor show, ZL1 named after the racing engines of all aluminum-Chevy from the late 1960s, which was set to 69 production Camaro regular -1969.

 The ZL1 packs a 6.2-liter LSA supercharged V8 engine capable of producing 550 horsepower and 550 lb.-ft. estimated of torque (745 Nm), paired with a six-speed manual transmission with dual-disc clutch system and a shorter-throw shifter. GM is still quietly how much power the original Camaro, but for 550hp Camaro will not be considered disappointing.

Besides the supercharged V8 and uprated transmission, which also sports a series of upgrades ZL1 chassis including revised suspension with Magnetic Ride Control system and high performance Brembo brake system with six-piston calipers in front and four behind. A brand new electric power steering system and 20-inch alloy wheels on soft tires Goodyear Supercar shod F2, also part of the ZL1 package.


Outside, the mainstay of the Camaro is distinguished by a new front fascia and hood with the center of the signatures are made of carbon fiber and is given in black satin finish, which also includes functional air extractors. The ZL1 was also gets a redesigned front bumper, new rocker panels, boot lid spoiler that is larger and four exhaust tips





New Camaro ZL1 is planned to start early next year.
