2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe


The AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine in the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG coupé delivers a maximum output of 336 kW (457 hp) and peak torque of 600 Newton metres for outstanding performance: the coupé is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 250 km/h (electronically limited).






The new C63 AMG Coupe variant benefits from all the technology updates that have been adopted on the C63 AMG saloon and estate models. Deploying the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission with “Controlled Efficiency” mode as standard and a new power steering pump reduces fuel consumption: the combined NEDC figure for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG coupé is 12.0 l/100 km.

As is typical for AMG, the car has a striking, arrow-shaped front section with the new AMG front apron including a lower cross strut painted in high-gloss black, AMG-specific LED daytime running lights and side air outlets. The large Mercedes star sits on a wing-shaped transverse louvre in the new radiator grille and, in conjunction with the modified aluminium bonnet with its powerdomes, underlines the impression of masculinity that the car exudes. Another eye-catching feature is the new clear-lens headlamps, especially when the optional Intelligent Light System (ILS) is also specified.

The wide front wing bearing the “6.3 AMG” legend, AMG side sill panels and the new 5-twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels painted in titanium grey with a high-gloss finish dominate the side view. Good contact with the road is provided by the wide 235/40 R 18 (front) and 255/35 R 18 (rear) tyres.

At the rear, the unique AMG rear apron has a distinctive, black diffuser insert and three pronounced diffuser fins. The two chromed twin tailpipes of the AMG sports exhaust system also attract attention.

Available as an option, designo leather appointments give the interior a particularly exclusive character: four single colours and three two-tone combinations are available. These can also be complemented with “extended black designo leather appointments” for the top section of the dashboard.

As for the CLS63 AMG, an “Edition 1″ of the new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe is also available. The Edition 1 features exciting, premium quality interior details that have been specially designed: the AMG sports seats, door centre panels and armrests come in black designo leather with contrasting porcelain seams on the sports seats. To match this, the trim parts have a porcelain piano-lacquer look and the two-tone AMG performance steering wheel sets black nappa leather off with a lower section in porcelain designo leather. An “Edition 1″ badge on the trim indicates this version’s singularity. AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in matt black make the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupé Edition 1 look equally special on the outside. As an option, the standard metallic paintwork can be swapped for a matt finish in designo magno night black or diamond white metallic BRIGHT.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class Roadster

 

For the first time Mercedes-Benz is offering a choice of three variants of the lightweight-construction vario-roof for the new SLK: in just a few seconds this feature transforms the roadster into a coupe with a “fixed” roof at the touch of a button – and vice versa: The standard version is a roof painted in the vehicle color. Optionally available is a panorama vario-roof with dark-tinted glass. The third option is a world premiere – the panorama vario-roof with MAGIC SKY CONTROL. This glass roof switches to light or dark at the press of a button. In light mode it is virtually transparent, offering an open-air experience even in cold weather. In its dark state the roof provides welcome shade and prevents the interior from heating up from the sun’s rays. In other words: a comfortable atmosphere at the touch of a button.


There will be two models of the 2012 SLK available in its first year, both powered by direct-injection engines. The completely redesigned V6 engine in the SLK350 develops 302 hp from its 3498 cubic-centimeter displacement, using this power to accelerate in 5.4 (est.) seconds from 0 to 60 mph (top speed 155 mph). Its fuel Later on in the model year, the SLK250 goes on-sale with a four-cylinder engine developing 201 hp from a displacement of 1796 cubic centimeters.
The SLK250 is equipped as standard with a 6-speed manual transmission and consumes an estimated 27 mpg (combined). From a standstill it reaches 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, and it has a top speed of 155 mph.
The new SLK can be ordered from 17 January 2011. The prices including VAT are as follows: SLK 200 BlueEFFICIENCY: 38,675 euros, SLK 250 BlueEFFICIENCY: 44,256.10 euros, and SLK 350 BlueEFFICIENCY: 52,300.50 euros.
The 2012 SLK-Class makes its U.S. showroom debut in summer 2011.

Mercy Rule Luxury Car Market 2010

 

Mercedes Benz claimed successfully  listed its  accomplishments  as a ruler of the luxury car  market  in Indonesia in 2010.

Total luxury car market of Indonesia in 2010 amounted to 5327 units and Mercedes Benz won 67.4 percent, or managed to sell 3590 units of premium cars.

"The year 2010 has become the most successful year for Mercedes Benz, not only in premium cars, but also in the category of commercial vehicles in which our products achieve astonishing achievement," said Rudi Borgenheimer, President of Mercedes-Benz Indonesia in Jakarta on Monday.

Besides triumphed in the premium car class, Mercedes-Benz can also take pride in the category of commercial vehicle sales during 2010. In the sale of buses, Mercedes Benz also recorded satisfactory results with 786 units, up 70 percent from the year 2009. Mercedes Benz won 53.4 percent of the market in Indonesia bus segment last year.

Raihan other types of commercial vehicles are trucks that in 2010 set to reach 310 units, an increase far from the year 2009, which only managed to sell 100 units of trucks.

NEW J.D. POWER STUDY: MERCEDES-BENZ HAS THE MOST SATISFIED CUSTOMERS

Mercedes-Benz enjoys a higher level of customer satisfaction than any other automobile brand. This is confirmed by a large-scale survey conducted by the world-renowned J.D. Power and Associates Index on the satisfaction of car buyers. Mercedes-Benz took first place among all car brands in this study. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the CLK also headed their respective categories. This means that Mercedes-Benz drivers are the most satisfied motorists in Germany.
J.D. Power, a Los Angeles-based globally operative market research company established in 1968, examines the satisfaction of car owners at regular intervals on the assumption that customers know best. This is the second year the study has been carried out online, and included 16,330 drivers in Germany to ascertain their experience with their cars for the J.D. Power 2010 Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction StudySM. To qualify for the survey, respondents had to have been driving their current model for around two years, covering approx 34,000 kilometres. The cumulative driving experience thus totalled over 500 million kilometres. Assessment criteria were quality, reliability, attractiveness, service and maintenance costs, in order to obtain a reliable overview of the individual cars’ strengths and weaknesses.
The J.D. Power Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study (VOSSSM), which is a
recognised source of reference for people planning to buy a car, covered more than 100 models, divided into nine categories. Mercedes-Benz took first place among all brands. The C-Class and the CLK topped their respective segments.

The E-, C-, S- and R-Class thus emerge as the top-value investments in 2010. Mercedes-Benz vehicles are revealed as the most reliable options offering the best value retention overall – an important economic advantage.
